I currently have two iPhones (model currently unknown) which accepted an Air Drop message where individuals would like to know the who sender of the message is. I recently spoke to someone who suggested creating a System Diagnostic Log by pressing volume up/down and power at the same time. Creating this log file supposedly takes approximately 10-15 minutes and then is also supposedly retrievable, according to Cellebrite, with all AFU extractions.

Has anyone ever done this and if so what did the Log file show? Did it in anyway show a piece of information which could be linked back to the senders handset?

Thank you!

Yes, I have done it, the result was a list of phonenumbers.

I have followed the Guide "(Air)Dropping some Knowledge: Using RLEAPP to Identify the Phone Number Used in an AirDrop Transfer" by the site 4n6 Ninja.
