Does the CCTV face out on to a car park/ street? If so did the person get in/out of a car? Was the person wearing any kind of unique/labelled uniform seen in the CCTV?

a bit more info

There is public transportation close
and you do know the time the person entered the store, but the store is not a huge store where you could do shopping for a weeks worth supplies, it's a small to medium sized store where the average stop would be around 5 minutes maybe 10.

BTW this isn't some kind of problem where I say, haha he had a name tag on saying John Smith and his picture was on the name tag.

It's not some teaser, it's a stimulation problem. and it appears to be working.

I'd personally call one of those guys from CSIWherever, they'd turn up at the scene and have tracked down your suspect within 3 minutes, produced his entire life's internet history from a floppy disk they found within 5 minutes, and arrived at their house within 15 minutes, and then slept with them (if attractive).

Harvey NicKs….yer sure…must go and get my detective mac on and trilby first…well I've gotta look the part. I even remember that old advert from TicTac - "Why flick a mint with one flavour when you can flick a mint with two" (said with a Humphrey Bogart voice impression)

Is anyone surprised that a student hasn't come on and asked, can you just tell me who it is?

Not all or us are that lazy. wink

Since public tranpostation is close and the time that the person was in the store is known, determine an approximation of how long it would take to walk between the two and check the security tapes for the person. If they were in fact using transportation it should be possible to locate where they entered the original station to give some idea as to where they may live. There is also the possibility of tracking how they purchased their fare card. Just becuase a credit card was not used at the store does not mean that it wasn't used at all during the day.
