I wanted to share the details of a new antistatic tamperproof evidence bag that the ‘Alert Security Bag’ company designed specifically for securing custodian hard drives and copies. The great thing about these evidence bags is they are printed with a unique serial# on each bag and there is a tear off receipt that you keep with the matching number. They have a tamperproof seal on them and a printed chain of custody receipt on the front.

Of course…now they sell them. I ordered a set of Anti-static bags and evidence bags from another company…
It would also be kind of nice if these bag companies started making the anti-static bags more digital evidence friendly…as in space for device information.

No problem. I should mention the 'antistatic' is due to a separate bag they ship with the clear plastic evidence bag. The cost is approximately $37 per hundred (they come on a roll).
