Hi everyone,
I have a Sanyo SCP-3810 "Mirro" that I received in, but nothing seems to support acquisitions of it. I've tried BitPIM and Paraben Device Seizure, but neither will touch the phone.
I *was* able to get a contact list and images using DataPilot, but this isn't enough as I need the SMS data.
Has anyone else here ever dealt with one of these phones? If so, were you able to extract anything besides photo and contact data?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
-Alex
You can use Cellebrite UFED Physical to perform a file system dump for this model.
Decoding is currently not supported, but the SMS files in this model are located at nvm/num/50538*
Each file contains a single message.
Thanks, you rock!
I'm still waiting on a quote back from Cellebrite on their UFED systems… I have no idea what the cost will be but I'm guessing thousands.

Just curious, but did you try grabbing the filesystem with bitpim's "Other CDMA Phone" setting? I've been able to grab filesystems of some other Sanyo SCP phones with it. Then drop the zip file into FTK or whatever and manually look for the SMS.

I did try the Other CDMA Phone model type in BitPIM, but I wasn't able to proceed past it as the program simply didn't detect the phone at all, no matter which COM port I tried.
I think the main issue with BitPIM is the lack of true drivers for the SCP-3810. The only driver I could find is a Susteen USB cable driver from DataPilot, which is the only program I've found to extract anything useful from the phone so far.
Paraben Support had this to say
As for the Susteen drivers, these drivers do lock the COM ports to the Data Pilot software and will not allow Device Seizure to acquire the phone at all.
Which would probably explain why BitPIM and Paraben DS both failed with those drivers.
