Leaked Microsoft intelligence document Here's what Microsoft will reveal to police about you

Sure would have been handy to know.

While the document leak is new, the policy is not new. Most of this has been covered if you ever have had to fire off a subpoena and you quickly learn what is covered by that and what requires court orders, etc.

I believe Google is traveling down the same path and I can't think of anyone who uses hotmail for anything other than an account to dump emails which are of little importance.

X box live - Stopped that service when the initial trial expired on the 360

Windows live messenger? People still use that in the realm of facebook, trillian, yahoo, mms on phones?

Online file storage- sorry Microsoft, not in a million years

Actually I have encountered this information in various training seminars, but never had it in such a nice concise manner.

I do find it mildly entertining how worked up people get regarding the information that is made available on proper request.
