Risks are of different kind. But one can say a risk is something today ok, but tomorrow a problem. What if as expected Apple now increases CoreOS Security of iOS and they silently decide to encrypt users data at all? The public did not recognize that Apple gave all the data from iCloud incl. credentials.

What if Apple will encrypt all users data including AppleID credentials by linking the AppleID to biometrics elements like fingerprints from TouchID and facial and voice recognition? So to fix a forgotten AppleID would require any TouchID (e.g. your friends device) and the FaceTime camera including Siri will recognize your voice to unlock your own AppleID?

Siri is the non-emerged helper which could ask you quite specific Artificial-Intelligence-based questions to recognize you in a unlock-conversation. The more Siri knows you the more this vocal assistant will be the key to unlock lost AppleID credentials.

Or kiss your enemy. PassCode unlock as a service (Decryption-as-a-Service) over TOR. Open a website, sync to DarkNet actor and get the PassCode back - unthinkable? May be not.

You are right, but we in law enforcement do not get the NSA tools for daily use. Cryptobreaking needs a lot of performance to rainbow-table and factoring. For a certain time we struggle in iOS 8.1.1 upwards to unlock and physical/logical image data out, so if Apple now more 'close' iOS it will not be more easy. I just want to enforce law - its my duty.

Then all this turmoil around the San Bernardino case is just a fake, an attempt to have Apple be forced to develop something not only already existing but already in the hands of the good G.I.'s?

I tried to contact him, but he was not available for comments. 😯
The good FBI guys should talk more with their colleagues at the NSA, seemingly.
