I'm trying to cull metadata from several AppleWorks files that were created then deleted under OSX. The files have been recovered, which alters the OSX date/time stamps. I'm trying to determine if the files themselves might contain useful information. I'm most concerned with the creation and deletion dates.
I've tried using several metadata analysis programs but none of them recognize the AppleWorks format. I've also viewed the files with a hex editor. There are a large series of control characters at the beginning of the files I'm unable to interpret. Some of the files appear to have printing info towards the end of them.
I'm looking for any information on metadata in AppleWorks files, resources for dealing with the issue, contacts who may have information or any ideas and suggestions anyone might have.
