Good Day All,
I recently read a post comparing and verifying several different wiping/evidence eliminator type tools and their effectiveness.
For the life of me, I cannot find it anymore.
Has anyone seen anything similar, or have an idea for a Google string that I might be missing?
Thanks
Mark
See if it's among these

or in links within them.
More or less all revolving about the single 00 pass.

Jaclaz, thanks for trying, but these are not the ones that I saw.
I will keep looking. The one I saw had specific instances of whether or not data over written by individual wiping programs or if the program just wiped the FAT entries or directory entries but left data in the clusters, etc.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that someone else will remember and could point me the right way.
Thanks again.
One of the good things about this site, and the growing list of online computer forensic sites in general, is that a great deal of information has become available to us. However, it also means that identifying a resource by the information you provided is a little difficult. I'm sure I or another user can be of some help given a little more information. Was the article you mentioned listed on this site or some other? How recently was it published? Is there anything else you can remember about it that might help?
