Does anyone know if Autocad *.dwg files contain metadata - (MAC dates/times). The file has been touched numerous times (copied from folder to drive to email etc - but not actually opened and saved) so the Windows dates and times are all local. I'm wondering if there is another date/time stamp someplace that might show up.
If they do, can someone point me in the right direction, please?
Thank you!

There can be a lot of MetaData in an AutoCad file. If you poke around the Autodesk support site you can find Metadata editors for many of their products.
There are also several commercial products ELCO, ESRI, etc. for reading the MetaData.

Thanx Bithead. I keep finding add-ons for Autocad to edit the metadata. I am looking for a stand-alone piece.
I don't believe Encase or FTK read the metadata.
I will keep looking….
