BBM messages Dates and times

This may have been answered on a previous forum but could someone please cofirm the accuracy of the date and time of messages sent and recieved using BBM? Is it the same as SMS messages (Inbox is accurate everything else is taken from handset)?

..even SMS time/date stamp are taken from the device rather than the network… at least that has been the case for the devices I've worked on.

All messages are from the device date and time except inbox messages. The date and time stamp for inbox messages are taken from the network provider.
