I played around with the beta months ago and it was a nice product.

Digital Detective Announce the Release of their New Forensic Software Product

Digital Detective is pleased to announce the release of their new advanced data recovery software Blade.

Blade is a Windows-based, advanced professional forensic data recovery solution. It supports professional module plug-ins which give it advanced data recovery and analysis capabilities.

The power and flexibility of the tool can be expanded as new modules become available. Blade supports all of the major forensic image formats and is more than just a data recovery tool. The professional modules have in-built data validation and interpretation routines to assist with accurate data recovery.

The software has been designed for extremely fast/accurate forensic data recovery. Not only is it highly effective in the pre-analysis stage of a forensic examination, it can be quickly configured to recover bespoke data formats. It has been specifically written for the field of Digital Forensics (developed 100% in-house).

Greetings,

Any idea how they're going to handle the new modules? I fear getting nickle and dimed, or $200 and $500'd to death for new modules.

If there is one person in the world that wouldn't nickle and dime you, it would be Craig Wilson.

I've dealt with him for several years and the amount of free work he has given to the community is amazing. This software constitutes a long amount of time and lots of resources.

Seconded to Craig's excellent other software he's developed, especially NetAnalysis, but I'm not clear how Blade Forensic differs from something like Scalpel or Foremost and what extra value it brings?
