Hello everyone,

I'm having a little trouble determining what day/time a bookmark was created. The user has had this computer for a little over 3 months, brand new. I ran the image through IEF and Blacklight (newest versions), I've followed the paths to the location of the Bookmark/Favorites, and the 'Date Created' that is showing is 2013, three years off from when the user actually bought the computer. The Date Modified/Date Accessed times seem to be in the correct time region.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Which OS?
Which filesystem?
What is the path to the location of the bookmark(s)?
Which browser?

OS Windows 10

So the bookmark has been created (besides before the customer bought the computer) before the release of the OS?

Could it be a "default" bookmark "installed" by *something*?
I mean, does it point to (say) microsoft.com or to the user personal site?

I don't think it is a default bookmark, I'll double check. But it points to "www.fidelity.com" and the client claims that another person had created that bookmark for him while they were setting up the computer for the first time. It's just that the create date is three years before the day they set everything up.

Could it have been imported from Bookmarks on another machine?

What are the system installation dates ? The time could be out of sync at install and configuration ?!
