Has anyone had any luck getting text message data from Boost Mobile iDEN phones? I currently have three different models I am working on an i296, i412, and i856. UFED only gets phonebook which I can also get with iDEN phonebook manager. I have tried Device Seizure and Mobiledit with no luck. Tried dumping SIM cards but apparently the phones don’t store any data to them.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried UFED Physical extraction?

Unfortunately I don't have access to a UFED Physical Pro. We are working on budgeting for one soon, and I don't know of anyone in the Tampa Bay Florida area who has one I can try.

J,
I would contact the department that holds your states ICAC grant and see if they could refer you to a local department that might have one. I'd also try your local FBI and US Marshalls office. They might have one? You could also contact the Miami Valley RCFL through www.rcfl.gov. St. Petersburg PD? I know that it may be a pain in the rear, but I'm sure you could find a department in Orlando that has one. Last resport contact Cellebrite. If you were to contact them through a government account or send them a request on department letterhead they "might" tell you who has one in your area.

Good luck,

I did not think I would be working on iDen i856 phones in 2016, but I have a few. I did get a physical dump using UFED Physical. There is really nothing of substance in the physical dump. I suspect that the missing SD cards may have held some data, but cannot be sure. Does anyone remember how this OS stored SMS and MMS and what location that information was stored at?
