Cheers,

If only it didnt wipe after x attempts I'm sure you could use something like this, just honed for iOS

On a more serious note, unless the device is already jailbroken and OpenSSH installed you are going to find yourself SOL.

LOL! thats a funky bot, however it won't work in my case, its a non jailbroken phone, and if you attempt the pin wrong a couple of times it will stop you for a while that will keep on numerating.

hmmm what shall i do … rrrr

What I've done to break in is take an iTunes backup, attack the backup with PRTK. Then take an unencrypted backup with that password, and move forward from there. (I use MPE but any software than can ingest an iTunes backup I'm sure will work.)

The only way I've managed to do it is to cheat. I had the subject's iPhone 4. The evidence I wanted was on the iPhone 5. I decoded the iPhone 4 PIN using Cellebrite PA and then was able to unlock the iPhone 5 with the same PIN.

Elcomsoft has an ulternative product iPhone Backup Extractor..

But how did you get the backup? I am not able to take a backup from a locked iPhone 5s or 5c, when there wasn't another iTunes-backup done with my computer before.
