Does anyone have procedures or a tool that will break message level encryption in Outlook?
Thanks
Encrypted with the built-in feature in Outlook 2007 or with PGP or Zix Mail or . . . ?
AccessData or Passware both have decryption tools. But the steps depend on what you are throwing at them.

We did not collect the data. It was handed down to us from a client. Basically, we were given a bunch of MSGs. Some of which were unencrypted and others were encrypted using, I believe, Outlook 2003. They gave us a CERT file and it was able to open some files, but I was wondering what tools were available that could possibily crack them without a cert. I tried PRTK and it was unable to decrypt the MSG.
It seems that suspect maybe use Secure MIME to encrypt the body content. So even when exporting email out as MSG, they still need to be cracked using certificate. Currently there are no decryption solution without cert file. Now Encase v6.10 support Secure MIME decryption, cert file is needed.
