We have started a group on LinkedIn called "Browser Forensics - Tools, News and Advancements".

This group will facilitate vendor neutral discussions and the distribution of technical information and news related to the investigation and forensic analysis of Internet browser artifacts.

There are numerous tools available in in the marketplace to address the needs of the forensic examiner. At the same time, changes in browser technology, like Private Browsing Modes, have created new challenges for the forensic investigator to address.

We encourage our group members to post new information and engage in spirited discussions on this topic.

We recently posted a very informative research paper titled "An Analysis of Private Browsing Modes in Modern Browsers" (Stanford University) - August 2010, on our discussion group

We invite all LinkedIn members on the Forensic Focus Forum to join this group.

Browser Forensics - Tools, News and Advancements

Cheers,

…Arthur

We would like to thank all the Forensic Forum members who have joined our Browser Forensics group on LinkedIn. We have had 55 new members join the group since posting the invitation here.

The group is not only an excellent source of news, research and technical information, but also an excellent way to connect with other professionals in the computer forensic and security industry.

Thank you for your support.

…Arthur
