Good article David!

I see this is a bit more than your original list May.

I used it as a basis for a lab development, so thank you!

Nice article.

I am looking at putting togather a few collection kits for our department and was struggling on the size and type of case to put the equipment in. The Pelican 1510 will work perfectly for that.

Thank you for sharing.

Dave

Very interesting! Thanks for posting this!

One or two thoughts …

There's a small and quite handy 5-port Gb-switch from Netgear (GS105E) that is replacing the standard 100Mb switch I used to use. Very useful for incident response as it has a configurable monitoring port. Only downside I've found so far is that you need Windows to reconfigure it.

Precision screwdrivers to me mean those small instrument tools that are too small for ordinary computer case work. But since no other screwdrivers are mentioned, I can only assume they also cover larger screws and nuts? (Ah, yes, the photo indicates more substantial tools than I first thought.)

My own kit includes serial cable (with various adapters) as I've had to deal with racked Unix servers that were remote-access only, with no console …

Hi David

Nice evidence collection kit. I definitely want the Pelican case for our collection of tools which will help organise everything nicely as opposed to two large computer bags.

Just wondering whether you could kindly share what kind of tools you have on your thumbdrive.

Any feedback is very much appreciated

Matt
