For what it's worth, I've started a personal blog on digital forensics with open-source, and it just so happens I've spent a couple of hours with CAINE 1 too. It's hardly a comprehensive review but I'd love any feedback you may have, especially if you have used it to perform acquisitions or analyses.

Thanks!

And just like that version 1.5 is out as of 11/18/2009.

Total newbie in the forensic area but I am burning my ISO now.

Forensics is more of a curiosity than profession so sorry I won't be able to go into technical detail on how improved 1.5 is after my burn is complete. I had a copy of 0.5 before, which simply took up space in my cd case.

If anyone has a good guide or another review of 1.5 that would be great!
