Hi, has anyone found it really time consuming to image UDF or multi session discs? I have! I would very much be interested to hear any alternatives to the standard EnCase/FTK or CD/DVD inspector methods.

What is the need to image a CD? I have heard of some people trying to image a stack of CD's without knowing if there is evidence on them or not? IMHO that is not an expeditious way to conduct an investigation. But then if you are getting paid by the hour……….

Thanks for your extensive reply, much appreciated. I agree with you on the futility of imaging cd\dvd media but some of our clients require all media be examined using a custom built script, therefore imaging is neccessary where at all possible, and I am getting paid by the hour!
