Surely if you made the disc you have access to the source data? Are you sure data was even written to it? Take a look at the business side of the DVD and check for written tracks…

It is a common problem.

I assume you can see from the colour of the disk that data has been written, the written area is normally darker

You will find that recovery can be DVD drive dependant - not all tolerate unfinalised DVDs. You will then need recovery software. If the data is recoverable, it will be possible to view sectors in the 'middle' of the data, eg sector 8,000, 15,000. The start of the disk will be blank.

Is the disk DVD-R or DVD-RW? A quick erase can sometimes happen to a DVD-RW that software alone will not fix.

To me it is a red flag that he no longer has access to the source data. I would exercise caution in helping this guy at least until he gives a more complete explanation of his activities. Notice this is his first post.

Hello and thank you everybody replying me.(Sorry for my english.)

I am giving some detailed information about my disk.

The Disk type is DVD-R TDK 1-16x
I tried to write some picture, video and word files in it.
My DVD writer is SONY DVD RW

I have looked at the disk. The data was written on it because data area is darker colour. I have also tried ISOBUSTER, POWERISO, FTK IMAGER and a few recovery program but there is nothing in it. Still,Size is seen zero byte. I can enter in the disk. Can anybody suggest me recovery program or any other method to do.
thanks

sounds like either the "lead-in" or "lead-out" data was not written correctly.

This is normally a defect on "toast" under osx when the disks are not really upto spec.

It depends at what point the closing session data failed to be written, it could be that you cannot get access to the disk using any normal means, or you might be very lucky.

From my own experience the best cd-dvd recovery software is cd/dvd inspector.
For a free solution I suggest you this hack.
Moreover try with several cd/dvd recorders Plextor and Pioneer are the most capable for reading problematic cd/dvd.
