How about Google Earth? I have not tried it, but my understanding is that you can import data into GPSVisualizer.com, but I am unfamiliar with the specifics of how you get that accomplished.

Thanx for a suggestion but maybe I have missed something - the main goal of cell data analysis is usually finding interactions among callers, who is calling to whom and when, etc. but less important is the place of caller.

Anyway thanx for the response )

My bad? How about analyzing the call detail records in csv format with Microsoft excel pivot tables? I'm not aware of any other free analytical options. Best of luck!

Hi,

What about you are exactly talking is known as "CDR Analysis" i.e. Call Data record Analysis.
The CDR can be easily obtained from the mobile operators if you are an authorized professional.

CDR is general in simple CSV (Comma separated Values) file format. Though a number of tools are available in the market but I guess that each one of them is a paid tool. How about using some kind of Excel macro to extract evidence from the CSV file (as CSV is almost similar to Excel sheet).

Regards

You can get a free 30 day license of DS 7 which supports importing cell tower records. You can then view the data points in Google Earth https://www.paraben.com/challenge.php

There is Oxygen Forensic Call Data Expert tool that allows to import CDR's and analyze direct and indirect links between callers on the graph. Probably that's what you are looking for. You can get more details at http//www.oxygen-forensic.com.

Nuix will also allow the import of CDR's via script and provide visualizations (e.g., link chart, timeline, etc.). There is currently a simple script which can be easily modified to fit the format of your CDR's.

Nuix Proof Finder (http//www.prooffinder.com/FAQs) is only $100 and will allow you to work on expanded datasets of up to 15GB per case.

DISCLAIMER I work for Nuix.
