One could for example say a qualification in EM or RF is what is needed for CSA training, or electrical, mathematics degrees etc etc etc…this list goes on. But it doesn't make it so. Therefore a broad church approach is what is needed.

So posting your course details could help to demonstrate how your electronics engineering degree is to be outlined in your CSA course.

Hi Greg, just wanted to clear up the misunderstanding about what an electronics degree contains. EM and RF are integral parts of an electronic engineering degree as is advanced maths.

It would be difficult to put into a post how my 4-year course influences my training methodology. A lot of ground was covered in those years…

Also, I never once said that CSA expertise could not be extended to those from a non-engineering background. Similarly, I am sure there are CF experts without a computer science (or similar) degree. However, relevant academic qualifications are to be desired rather than derided.

The article you post raises the issue of using best server plots. Might be best to create another thread if you want to discuss this. There are much more robust ways to perform CSA. I agree with you that RF measurements should be made especially in close proximity cases. This will compliment or augment best server plots.
