Sound Good.

Good morning ErminM,

Sounds like RDP is what you've decided to use to get some work done. I've linked to a good blog post written by our own
Ghennadii Konev about working remotely that is posted on the MSAB website (See below).

I see that Mike from MSAB has already offered, but feel free to reach out if you'd like to receive a demo license of XRY and XAMN. Its supports RDP at no additional charge.

Cool thing is - We can set it up… remotely! 8)

Stay Safe.

If you must operate on a tight budget due to financial difficulties resulting from the crisis, then you have to go with the tools that offer the most for their prices.

I don't think there is any vendor that offers the remote forensics functions/capabilities that Belkasoft does at the same price. Belkasoft Evidence Center (armed with the Remote Acquisition module) would be a great complementary tool.

I'd also point out that they would be responsible to support you if you ran into issues. So you're asking that they support your ability to remotely use the software via a means of your design. To me that says now when you call with a problem they had to first begin with troubleshooting whether you issue is related to RDP or network problems. If that's the case I too would require you utilize remote software that has been tested and can be supported.

The other side is I'm pretty sure you are in the minority when it comes to wanting to work with the software remotely. I know most places have a policy against their forensic workstations being connected to a network at all. So as a software developer I wouldn't extend myself too much for one client when majority of my clients aren't requesting a feature.

Oh how COVID has changed things.
