Hi, a project I am undertaking is a forensic analysis of instant messaging app Trillian using Cellebrite. For this, I will provide an in-depth explanation of the data recovered by Cellebrite. But my problem is, what sort of things can I say about the recovered data to make it worthy of an honours project?
I have set up two profiles which are communicating via a rooted Samsung Galaxy S5, sending plain text, images, video and voice messages.
Thanks a lot for any feedback in advance!
I'm unsure of the support Cellebrite provides for Trillian. That being said, the best way is to get an acquisition and view the application database in physical analyzer. It just depends on how much of the data the application stores on the phone. It could be a lot or it could be next to nothing.
In addition The extraction method just depends on your and Cellebrite's capability. If you can get a physical extraction that would provide you the entire application database.
Thanks a lot for the reply! Do you have any recommendations on any android instant messaging apps I could use instead?
Thanks!
Just ask support@cellebrite.com for help, my experience is they are very kind but sometimes slow
I will do, thank you
