Hello forum
is it possible to clone a SIM card that has the pin set (and unknown by the examiner)? What kind of data can we retrieve from it?
Thanks!
as far as i remember a really restricted set of data, like the ICCID is public and can be read without providing the PIN to the SIM.
depending on what you need the cloned SIM for, there are other ways to obtain the data needed.
for instance, if you need a forensic clone for booting a phone the data you need are the ICCID (public) and the IMSI (PIN locked)
given the ICCID you might be lucky to get the associated IMSI from the operator.
forget to gain access to the user data, like sms, phonebook etc.. as they are pin locked.

So the answer is "yes, some information can be retrieved even if the SIM is pin protected"
Correct?

Yes some information can be retrieved.
I ran further tests on a number (U)SIM Card readers using the same PIN locked card to demonstrate how readers report data and variation in the data that are captured by card readers.

Since the OP is considering production of clone test SIM Cards I have raised further observations here
