Hi, just found the forum after a google search, this looks great. At the risk of sounding too salesy, I'm looking for some info. We make a piece of hardware (portable disk cloner) that, while not originally designed for the forensic market, has definitely found its way to the forensic market. I'm getting a lot of questions from the forensic crowd and I signed up a forensic-focused reseller who is starting to move a lot of product.

I'd like to explore this market a bit more from an advertising / sales perspective. Other than this forum 😀 are there industry trade magazines or frequently visited news or information websites that are geared for the computer forensic market? Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

Best regards,

Hi Tony,

Welcome to Forensic Focus!

The only pure computer forensics magazine I'm aware of is Elsevier's "Digital Investigation" ( http://www.compseconline.com/digitalinvestigation/welcome.htm ) although I'm fairly sure that's entirely subscription supported and doesn't accept advertising. I don't have a copy to hand right now though so might be worth your while checking. Other than that I'd suggest checking out where companies like Guidance Software or Vogon advertise to see if that highlights any potential advertising channels. Magazines and sites specialising in computer security, as opposed to forensics, might also be a good bet.

If anyone knows of any other magazines dedicated to computer forensics please chip in!

Kind regards,

Jamie
