Sumit,

The ACPO article mentioned in my blog talks about LE backlogs.

Searching for "police forensic backlog" provides articles on the forensic backlog in Illinois, the UK, Michigan, Detroit, and Maryland just in the first page.

David,

Thanks for giving me the keyword.. & Yes i got the links on article.

But , if i am not wrong all the information which i am getting from articles and weblinks will be considered as literature review in the dissertation..

I am also trying keywords like case study computer forensic triage, forensic triage backlogs

At this point i really dont know what i can do to conclude or what can i try to say that after doing research this is what i found..

Again a challenging situation needs loads of critical thinking. But it will be then biased information .

Many thanks
Regards

I am writing a dissertation on Foresnic Triage & its Backlogs.

As Kovar points out you need to clarify what you're referring to in terms of backlogs.

Backlog generally refers to an accumulation over time of work waiting to be done or orders to be fulfilled.

So, is your dissertation looking into backlogs created as a consequence of forensic triage tools? If so it's an original angle, since the most common argument for using triage is the exact opposite - to reduce the amount of data sent for full forensic examination, which again reduces backlogs with the forensic specialist.

I think triage and preliminary examination tools is interesting, and worth looking in to. But I'm not sure I get the backlog part. Clarification would be appreciated.
