We are delighted with the judgement. We have put in many hours on Operation Ore and it has been so hard not to make any comment despite the various ridiculous theories and allegations made by certain unscrupulous individuals online and in the press.

We're pleased that their Lordships' judgement has confirmed the strength of the evidence, along with the methods used to extract it, and its presentation in court.

It is amazing that a man convicted of perjury can use his unsupported theories and allegations to drum up business and cost the tax-payers many thousands of pounds (his bill was up to £125,000 in June!). He said in court that this was the only case he's working on…

We're looking forward to getting back to some proper forensics.

Sam

Nonetheless I can still add that I am not a fan of concurrent sentences - I am much more in favour of consecutive sentences, particularly for serious crimes such as this.

Congratulations Sam - and also to Nick and the others on this one. It must be a hugely satisfying after all this time to have been so thoroughly vindicated.
