Internally we run for x-years a project to solve the Cyber Attribution problem. By combining CTI we successfully installed on two corporate Fortune 500 companies on their CSP's ASN waterwholes by running DPI with an Israeli AI-solution. Its more than post-attack CTI its Pre Hack Intelligence.

If you too have experience in Crime Waterwholing pls PM only.

Thank you for correction. Good approach for 2018 to improve my English - but I have some years left until getting 30 -) After I should master it, you are right.

You are not the only one ) , rest assured.

Still, after several years, every single time I find IR I think of InfraRed and not of Incident Response, unless the meaning is obvious from the context.

The amount of (not explicit or noy explicited) acronyms (let alone the ones that are invented on the spot) in some posts is overwhelming, particularly when/where a same acronym has ambiguous meanings, JFYI wink

Of course the good ol' "rule" of mentioning the whole thing the first time (with the acronym enclosed in brackets)
http//www.everythingenglishblog.com/?p=481
https://www.scribendi.com/advice/the_correct_use_of_acronyms.en.html
is only applicable to academic writing (and to the few people that want to communicate with *everyone* without leaving space for misunderstandings or ambiguity).
