It seems like it used originaly ARP spoofing 😯

though now they changed to more traditional DHCP and/or "bridge" mode

Anyway the general idea is that it"samples" part of the traffic sending it on the cloud for analysis, and this is the reason why you have to pay - besides initially for the device - a subscription a monthly fee right now around 9 US$/month.

Now, please define "high-quality".
