Ok i just want to put a question out there?

Is data compass the *be* all and end all of data recovery? Does it have a rival that isn't $3,800 or does it have the market sown up.

That's funny, the Encase salesman told me that encase was the be all end all )
I hadn't heard about this product. What I know is from the 450 minute video.
It seems like a nice product but definitely geared more toward "data recovery" vs. forensic tasks (no mention of hashing or encryption options) and read-only looked like it was optional. Might be in there, i just watched the video.

BUT..if you had a hard drive that was experiencing some of the physical problems they described, it could be worth its weight in referrals if it worked.
