I am looking for forensic software that provides faster data mapping and or relationships analysis. Does Encase 7 do data extraction and analysis?

I would need a software whereby, after I acquire data from any source – mobile phones or computers, I am able to determine any relationship between data acquired between any two entities A or B or any of the key entities whose data has been acquired. Relationships should be established between mobile phone, emails and other.

Thanks,

/mm

Hi,

EnCase 7 doesn't (to my knowledge) do anything…like this.

I think you after some sort of analysis tool that could link content of files together?

If so, you might want to have a look at i2 Analysts Notebook (under IBM's wing now I believe) or for a free option you could try Aduna Autofocus (if you can still find it out on the web).

i2's product is a little expensive but very good.
Aduna Autofocus meets requirements if you can put the content to a format it understands and don't have too many expectations from free software (might need some file conversion work on certain file groups)

Good luck

Shep

I also recommend OraTech's "3rdeye" besides I2. 3rdeye is half price of I2.

While I haven't used it myself, Palantir has been mentioned to be more than once in recent months.

Hope this helps.
