NP, the offer still stands if something were to come up in the near future.
BTW, how much did computersUSA charge for this (if you do not mind me asking?)
I would like share my experience. Once we received old HD of 10GB capacity for data recovery. We did attached it as a slave..but windows could not detect it. Then we ckecked through BIOS, there also it was not detected. It was damaged HD making some different noice. What could be the reason?
What sort of noise was it making? Clicking/clunking etc
clunking… i guess

Physical failures can result from a wide variety of causes. There are really two sub-categories for physical hard drive failures; mechanical and electronic. Mechanical failures usually result from a failure of the spindle motor. Spindle motor failure can result from excessive heat due to a bearing failure. The increased heat resulting from the bearing failure will expand the drive shaft and therefore seize the spindle motor. Suddenly, your drive will become inoperative. Occasionally, you will get a warning that something bad is about to happen. You may hear a loud whining, a grinding noise, even high-pitched screeches. If anything like this starts to occur, BACK UP YOUR DATA IMMEDIATELY. Another physical issue that sometimes rears its ugly head is an electronic failure. If you look at a hard drive you will notice a circuit board on the bottom. This board is basically the brains of the drive, and it is where the computer interfaces to the hard drive.
So to recover your drive from physical failure you should go to some good data recovery service provider. You can send your hard drive to Stellar Information Systems Ltd, for analysis of your drive they don't charge you anything. They check if data is recoverable and it is the same data you want to get recovered, for the recovery and give back your data you will only be charged.
