Hi,

I need to decrypt MS Word files. They had been encrypted using 'Folder Castle'. I looked online at some decryption s/w, but couldn't decide which one(s) would be the best.

Any comments/suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated.

PRTK and Passware would be my first stops. You should check with the vendors before purchasing, of course….

You could try the product by ElComSoft called "Distributed Password Recovery" which is able to use the GPU. Depending on the PC, you could be able to break the key (not to get the password) and open the file in less than 18hs.

Passware also has "Word Password".
