Hi!

Here is our fresh article

http//www.weare4n6.com/decrypting-encrypted-itunes-backups/

How often do you face encrypted iTunes backups and what tools do you usually use for decryption?

I don't get many backup-encrypted iPhones or iTunes Backups but it has happened a few times. Most of the time the device owner can be persuaded to give me the password. For the few times where I didn't have the password I tried EPPB but i always gave up after a couple of days brute forcing.

Hello,

I recently used Elcomsoft's Phone Breaker to successfully download and password crack an iTunes password encrypted mobile backup of an iPhone 6.

The owner of the iPhone 6 was deceased and therefore unable to provide the iTunes password.

Using Phone Breaker on my MacBook Pro (i7/16GB of RAM), I was able to crack the password in about 10 minutes.

Fortunately the password was "1234".

This is the only time a client was not able to provide me with the iTunes password, but I did feel like quite the hero getting it done.
