Hello All,

Seeking advice on decrypting a LUKS encrypted e01.I am aware of the procedure/steps to be undertaken while decrypting a LUKS encrypted e01,provided I have access to decryption password. But am not aware of the steps/procedure when I have access to only the recovery key.

Any advice/suggestions are welcome )

I don't believe there is a recovery key option with LUKS. You CAN have multiple keyslots each with their own password to unlock the same container though. Spec is here.

LUKS can be opened using a key file. You could set a password for a volume and then have a separate file as another key to access the volume.

If you attached the disk (through writeblocker or mount an E01), you could mount it with LUKS through command line or using the crypttab file.

Do you have LibreCrypt available? Works for dm-crypt and LUKS
