Does anyone know what happened to the DEFT Linux website? I am still able to download DEFT Zero, and was able to use DEFT Zero recently to image multiple Windows machines.

I normally send the developers of DEFT money through PayPal as a donation each time I use DEFT on a project to support their efforts, but cannot figure out to whom I should send my donation now.

www.deftlinux.net now just points to the downloads.

DEFT Linux
August 9, 2018 ยท
From 4 May 2018, the non-profit association DEFTA was dissolved. The project came back under the direct control of the founding father, Stefano Fratepietro, who integrated it into the R&D projects of Tesla Consulting. From May 5, 2018, DEFT Linux is officially an R&D project of Tesla Consulting.
Soon, We will release the new site with the new updated iso and many other notivties.
Stay tuned!

Seemingly no trace of DEFT on the actual official Tesla Consulting site, though

You could have a look at Tsurugi Linux https://tsurugi-linux.org

"…The Tsurugi Linux team is composed by a bunch of Backtrack and Deft Linux veterans united by the idea of developing a new DFIR Operating System…"

"…Tsurugi Linux is a new DFIR open source project that is and will be totally free, independent without involving any commercial brand
Our main goal is share knowledge and "give back to the community"…"

Thank you for your responses. DEFT Zero worked the best on a recent imaging project. For some reason I could not get CAINE to work at all - CAINE kept erroring out saying my 4TB destination drive (notwithstanding the fact that UnBlock showed the destination drive as RW) only could hold 3GB of data…..

DEFT Zero just worked flawlessly.
