JPEGSnoop is one of the first programs I used. I ran it against several known images and it reported the ones that I knew to be modified. Unfortunately, it didn't indicate where on the image the change or changes had been made and that is what I'm looking for.

I just need a reasonably priced program (although free would also work for me) that will indicate where on the image a suspected change has been made.

Oops, sorry. oops

I forgot you posted that… roll

To (hopefully) compensate for my brain fart )

Have you tried this one?

which also links to this nice paper
http//www.hackerfactor.com/papers/bh-usa-07-krawetz-wp.pdf

And the whole site seems to have some nice tips
http//www.hackerfactor.com/blog/index.php?/categories/1-Image-Analysis

It's about non-forensics analisys, but shows some tricks to identify artefacts by re-colouring or applying filters.

And also a link to an algorithm to find copy/pasted areas

There is at least the Source code for a version of the program used

Thanks Jaclaz. The Error level analyser looks promising.
