Can anyone tell me where the device phone number can be found in the report generated by the Cellebrite UFED Physical Analyzer?

There have only been a few occasions where I needed to confirm the phone number of the device and I have never given this much thought. Recently I have been asked quite frequently where the device number can be found and I can't always answer the question. When a logical extraction is done and that data is put into the Physical Analyzer the resulting report shows the MSISDN on the extraction summary. When a physical or file system extraction is done the MSISDN is not available on the summary page.

Is there a place the plainly spells out what the device phone number is? Thanks in advance.

It depends. On iPhones, it usually shows up in the extraction summary because Apple does store that information in the iTunes Backup.

With Android Devices, it is not that easy. The phone number usually doesn't get decoded. I think there's probably no central location where the phone number is stored, if at all.

I would recommend to do a logical extraction from the sim card and merge it with your phone extraction. If the number is stored on there you can find it under SIM Data - MSISDN. However, not every cell provider does store the number on the sim card. In this case you have to determine it with other methods.
