Wow, 50GB average per drive. Last year we averaged around 650GB per and this year we are averaging 950GB (due to multiple 1TB drives).

Funding will always direct your lab design, but as mentioned earlier I would have at least 1 forensic workstation per investigator. It would be nice to have two…possibly split between acquisition stations and analysis stations.

it's pretty interesting in how they handled the scalability using opensource storage solutions.

Good paper, I like the conclusion too.
