Hello everyone. I'm a relatively new DF investigator waiting for my lab to be built. In the mean time, I have very little to occupy my time, other than reading the lastest DF news or DF journal articles and respecing my analysis machines for the one bajillionth time. So I'm looking for suggestions on starting a research project. What areas in DF have you come accross that require someone to take a lot of time and dig in depth and experiment or potentially code a new tool? (though I am not a programmer, I do have a lot of time and could learn, already taught myself python basics)

I have access to a lot of information and some money, I just need a productive focus that hopefully aid the DF community. Any results and or tools will be shared freely of course.

Thanks in advance!

There is not a lot of research on the advancements of DF investigating outside the US. What are investigators using in Nigeria? or Brazil? It seems as if these areas have the brightest future for DF with such low barriers on law enforcement activity, but then again I haven't done the research. Good Luck!

Also, I would check with your nearest RCFL location to find out what they are using in their labs before you really get down to business in your own lab.
