Near-complete media BS due to lack of understanding.

As someone who's worked a number of PCI engagements, it's not unusual to see someone who doesn't understand what's happening try to describe it to the media and get it wrong.

Besides, this sounds much better than what probably really happened…

Besides, this sounds much better than what probably really happened…

There is a saying in medicine attributed to Baltimore physician Theodore Woodward, When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.

Or, to put it another way, can you think of another theory to explain the facts which seems more likely within your professional experience?
