Hi All,

I’m working on my first case with ftk and have come across an executable file called CleanUp.exe
(Documents and Settings\”User”\Desktop\P4P800 SE\Sound|1985WDM_3630.zip>>AD1985>>Sys>>CleanUp.exe)
L-size 45,056

Suspecting that this is a disk cleaning utility I searched for ‘cleanup.exe’ on Google, viewing the results I cant decide whether this is the diskcleaner or something to do with the soundmax audio driver?

Can anyone let me know how I can distinguish between the two in this case?

Thanks for your time

1985WDM_3630.zip

What are the other contents of that zip file - don't they give you a clue?

Also, if it's in a zip, has it been installed or run?

Google for 1985WDM_3630.zip
it appears to be an ASUS originated set of drivers (audio)
http//www.msfn.org/board/drivers-question-t26443.html

Download the file, available on several places, and see if it's different from the one you have.

"P4P800' Pentium 4 with 800mhz bus

Sounds like motherboard drivers. A cleanup exe can be part of the package for the uninstall portion of the software. Looks like an audio driver on the MB.
