Greetings,
If you are considering the TD1, you might want to also consider the other options. There are a lot of them in between the DiskJockey and the TD1.
Some of the other suggestions were for write blokers, which you can use to clone disks. The TD1 is a hardware imager and will only clone or image disks.
If you have a limited budget and do not have a write blocker, I'd suggest getting a good write blocker with all the options. If you already have a good WB and can afford a TD1, you'll certainly not go wrong with it.

Kovar,
Thanks for the information. I already have the Tableau T35es with all the trimmings. I believe if I have the choice to get in and out quickly, the TD1 would be the best solution. I have read the specs and and have for the past 3 hours researched one last time before pulling the trigger.
If given a choice, pulling a drive and imaging it via the TD1 will offer the quickest and fastest way to minimize disruption to the custodian. The T35es is an awesome piece of equipment.
Thanks for your input! I'll be making the purchase tomorrow. Cheeers!
mtbinva, a couple of more things before you get the TD1.
The TD1 can be a bit slow to setup even when using a keyboard. If you have a long file path and you do not have a keyboard it can be a pain to setup a directory structure. I have a mini-flex keyboard that works well on the road.
Also, the acquisition speed gains of the TD1 are not nearly as large as they once were. Using the right combination of software (TIM, X-Ways) and hardware (sata write-block paired with a sata port and an express port) I can get acquisition speeds reasonably in line with the TD1 speeds.
Another drawback with the TD1 (and most hardware duplicators) is the heat they generate in the destination drives. Hardware duplicators can get the destination drives a bit hot (especially the old Logicubes.) With the TD1 I usually switch out the destination drive every other image or so.
The TD1 doesn't duplicate to two drives at the same time. This has never bothered me because I always verify my acquisitions before I duplicate them.
Even with these draw backs I like my TD1. With the TD1, my laptops and a couple of boot disks I am an imaging machine.
Not sure what you consider "inexpensive" in our field.

Cześć, pozdrowienia z Polski, but I think that's bad solution. You really have time to imaging HDD's via USB interface? I don't see in specification another interfaces like eSATA or Firewire.
So better (IMO the best) solution in T35es - it's fast, easy to use and reliable.
clownboy,
That's pretty much the setup I have although, the laptop I have with the SATA slot does not have an express card slot.
I do recall having used the Talon years ago the evidence drive would heat up.
The fastest point of any duplication is the slowest connection the setup has. The TD1 would eliminate some of those issues I have. The fastest connection I have is two FireWire 800 on one laptop with the T35es.
