Is there any software out there that would copy the exact image of a disk to another? What I want to do is create real world examples using HDD's, USB drives and even floppy disks for my students to forensically analyse. I would like to be able to setup one HDD for example and then have the ability to replicate that exactly to other HDD's rather than having to create each HDD individually.

Hope that makes sense.

Not sure, it maybe obvious but just starting to look myself and a head start would be helpful.

Thanks.

Philip

Norton Ghost
DD
FTK Imager
EnCase DOS boot floppy

Check with your students, they could probably help you out.

Looks like you just want a non forensic image.

Symantec Ghost 9.0 (support live imaging)will do and is cheap. With some hard drives (usually external usb), Symantec Ghost 2003 bootable CD ships along for free, which works well too.

Please note When your students analyze the media, they will have to acquire a forensic image either way. You don't list the your plan for analysis, which would further help answer your inquiry accurately.
