I am currently working on a project where I am trying to find as many drive eraser programs as possible to show how readily available they are. Does anyone know of some good places to look?

I don't need to download them, just a list of available ones on the internet, preferrably freeware.

Thanks.

If you are having trouble merely googling for them to build a list, the answer to the readily available part must be not.

A simple google search will return multitudes.

Hi Forensicon

As dickard suggested try out Google. However, I believe Media Tools will wipe a drive, not too sure how readily available it is though.

Thanks for the responses…I have done some google searching but I either get a lot of duplicates or other jargon. I was just curious if there were any sites dedicated to listing things like this, such as any particular forums or download centers.

Here's a good start. They are a little mixed in with other Anti-Forensic tools but it has a good list.

Well done tengu, you saved 118 different posts!

I attended a really good presentation at the HTCIA conference this year about how widnows drive wipe utilities leave traces and what their signatures are. Very informative.
