is a drop in SATA hard drive dock with a USB 2.0 interface. Now if someone would build a write blocker into it, and build another one for IDE drives, they'd have a really nice product.

One thing that worries me about most of our portable write blockers is all the manipulation of cables required, and associated risks of bending pins and breaking connectors.

I like the Granite Digital read only bays. Not quite as slick, they require a tray, but they are read only.

Only for IDE drives would really be harder to do. Much more force to seat the connectors.
