I am trying to figure out a particular part of the Q-See QT446's backup naming convention and they are no help at all.
Here is an actual backup file name
20150507220000_383051453.avi
Obviously the first part is the month, day, year and time but I can't figure out what the "_383051453" part correlates to. It's nine digits, which seems like an odd number and it's definitely not something easy like the number of minutes or seconds of video in that clip. Q-See would only say it was algorithm generated that's it.
It's not mission critical to the case but it is really bugging me. Any help is appreciated!

It is often easier to see a pattern if you have multiple examples
I'm not sure if you have utilized this before, but being that this is a dvr related question you would probably be able to find this answer on dme resources
The naming changes depending on the manufacturer, there is no standard in DVRs, none at all. So, it may be anything, like the number of clips in the entire system or it may be some reference point in the entire system. You will never know unless you completely figure out how the system addresses the clips or fragments of clips.
So far, I have seen quite a lot of different naming formats like this
- Date-hour-seconds-number of channel or camera in the file name or in the folder name
- The above format but without the channel number at the end
- The above format where day and month digit changes their position 5 seconds after playing
So, make some trials by making your own records and probably you will see how it names clips.
