We've had a request from a client that wants us to examine some data, theres a very large quantity of docs etc that need to be extracted with metadata for each file, then put into a pdf so that they can be viewed etc.

is there any way of doing this quickly? or having some tool that would do most of the leg work for us?
thanks all! )

Sorry for being dumb but PM means what?

Re the OP, best give us a better idea of what kind of datafiles, where it is, what your access to it is, what kind of metadata etc.

For example, I regularly strip all attachments out of Exchange Mailboxes (Sherpa Mail Attender), parse the metadata of MS Office docs into Excel (Metadataminer Catalogue) and then look for specific entries in the Company and Author field; for other file formats I manually view them - JPGs, PDFs, TIFFs, DWGs; it's all about intellectual property and I don't have to be forensically sound.

Dunno if this helps?
