Ah, yes, my ignorance shines through !
I'm fairly sure that it is over the air, rather than through the power source ( not mains).
Grounded copper foil around the device that is emitting the interference would be the first choice. You can find some pretty interesting articles from the tin-foil hat brigade if you Google Faraday cage.
Thanks for that, I'll (a) google with some tin-hat type search terms [ I'm guessing mind-reading ray, alien abduction etc. added to "faraday cage" should work ok 😉 ] and (b) give the grounded copper a go. The whole flipping thing stopped working altogether on Friday, only to restart on Saturday when I asked a friend to "look at it with me" … I got as far as "look when I start it up nothing happens" only to be embarrassed by a working ( albeit still interfered with ) system … {sigh}
